Public school students can attend Macleod Elementary/Junior  High on 6th Street or Queen  Elizabeth High on 18th Street.

Shopping is done in the area   of Beddington Town Centre, or in Edgemont at the Real Canadian  Superstore.

Recreation
Evanston is close  to recreational pathways and not far from Nose   Hill Park.  For the avid golfer there are several golf courses nearby including; The Hamptons,  Country Hills, Fox Hollow and Harvest Hills.

Homes
The homes in Evanston,  east of Symons Valley  are mainly starter and move-up homes. In Evanston's  Sytmons Corner, homes start from as little as $300,000.
